Copper Mountain Women’s Basketball Dominates San Bernardino Valley, 108–43
The Copper Mountain College Women's Basketball team bounced back in emphatic fashion, returning to the win column with a commanding 108–43 victory over San Bernardino Valley College on Wednesday night.
The Fighting Cacti left no doubt from the opening tip, delivering an early knockout blow to make a statement to the rest of the conference. Copper Mountain surged to a 26–9 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, dictating the pace and intensity of the game from start to finish.
CMC showcased its depth and balance throughout the night, with five players scoring in double figures. Zoe Tennell led all scorers with a game-high 25 points, pacing an offense that consistently found quality looks and converted in transition.
Defensively, the Fighting Cacti were equally dominant. Copper Mountain clamped down after halftime, holding San Bernardino Valley to just 17 points in the second half, underscoring the team's defensive prowess and relentless pressure.
With the decisive win, Copper Mountain heads into a brief holiday break before returning to action on Monday, December 29, when the Fighting Cacti host Cerritos College at 5:00 p.m. in the Bell Center on the beautiful campus of Copper Mountain College.
