Copper Mountain College Women Keep Rolling, Defeat LA Mission 82–52 for Ninth Straight Win
The Copper Mountain College Women's Basketball Team continued their historic start to the season, securing their ninth straight victory with a dominant 82–52 win over LA Mission College.
Despite opening the game with a starting five that had never shared the floor together, the results remained the same: relentless pressure, nonstop energy, and a wire-to-wire performance. The Fighting Cacti scored the first bucket of the night and never looked back, exploding to a commanding 43–15 halftime lead.
Any expectations of a second-half slowdown were quickly erased. Copper Mountain charged out of the break with the same intensity, unleashing their patented "Monster" press that forced the Lady Eagles into a string of turnovers and kept momentum firmly in CMC's hands.
The Fighting Cacti were led by Gia McFadden, who poured in 22 points, while Zoe Tennell added 14. In a true team effort, 14 of CMC's 15 players scored, highlighting the depth and balance that has fueled the Cacti's undefeated run.
Copper Mountain now stands at 9–0 on the season. The team will hit the road next, traveling to West LA College on Wednesday, December 3rd, with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
