8 is great! CMC Women's Basketball rolls to their 8th straight win.
The Copper Mountain College Women's Basketball Team continued their impressive start to the season with a commanding 81–62 victory over LA Harbor College—marking their second win over the Seahawks this year.
Despite being without starting forward Tatum Stone due to injury, the Fighting Cacti didn't miss a beat. Their signature token pressure defense once again proved overwhelming, setting the tone from the opening tip. CMC refused to let LA Harbor settle into any offensive rhythm, forcing turnovers, speeding up the pace, and converting a steady stream of transition baskets.
Gia McFadden, Zh'mya Martin, and Mailana Mattos each made strong contributions on the offensive end, but today's win was defined by total team effort. Every player who stepped on the floor made an impact, echoing the depth and chemistry that have fueled the Cacti's blazing start to the season.
The Fighting Cacti return to action on Friday, November 28th at 2 p.m., hosting LA Mission College on the beautiful campus of Copper Mountain College in the Bell Center.
